From Leeds the drive is almost all dual carriageway and motorway: north on the A1(M) past Wetherby, Scotch Corner and Durham, then the A696 to the airport. Allow around 1 hour 50 minutes from Leeds City Centre in normal conditions. The A1(M) can slow around Newcastle at rush hour, so we add a buffer to early and peak-time pickups.
